Script:
What's up guys i am Rupert Josh A. Pascual and I am from the class of grade 11 Saint Bartholomew
and today im making a movie review of the movie miracle in cell no 7. So what
is this film? This film is from south korea , it was released in January 2013
and its’ director is Lee Hwan Kung. This
film is about a mentally handicapped man who was accused of a crime he didn’t
commit. Who then built friendships with the hardened criminals who belonged in
the same room with him. After saving one of his roomate’s life, they agreed to
return the favor by letting him see his daughter again. As for the main
characters Yong-Goo, the mentally handicapped man, father of Ye-Seung.
Ye-Seung, the daughter of Yong-Goo, a very intelligent and talented girl. So
Yang-Ho, one of the roommates of Yong-Goo, a gangster to a preacher.
Choi-Choon-Ho, one of the roommates of Yong-Goo, who was a swindler. Shin
Bong-Sik, also one of the roomates of Yong-Goo, a loving man to his wife and
soon to be born baby. Man-Bum, a roommate of Yong-Goo, a impatient but kind
hearted man. Old man seo, a room mate of Yong-Goo, a childish man. Jang
Min-Wan, the section chief or the chief of the prison, who helped Yong-Goo to
defend himself against the wrong accusations made against him. So for the
summary, There was once a father and a daughter who lived a simple life,
wanting simple things, one of them was a sailor moon bag. One day when they
were watching it from outside the store, the last sailor moon bag was bought by
someone. Yong-Goo really wanted the sailor moon bag that he promised his
daughter that he will buy her one when he got his salary. After sometime, the
child who had bought the bag wanted to help him, by showing him that there was
another store that sells the bag. Yong-Goo, didn’t understand and just
followed. The child slipped and fell to her death, while Yong-Goo, quickly
tried to rescue her by doing a cpr. Someone saw him. He was brought into
prison, without even deeper investigations, he was put to jail. On his time in
jail, he met four men that soon had built a relationship with them, one day he
knew that one of his roommate was going to get attacked he quickly saved him.
The guys, wanting to return the favor, they agreed to smuggle his daughter into
the room. As the time went by, his roommates didn’t believe that he actually
killed the little girl, they went investigating themselves because he also
claimed that he didn’t killed the girl. So, that he can defend himself by
saying the truth in the trial, the prisoners helped him and taught him the way
to act. The chief of the prison also wanted to help him because he knew that he
couldn’t do such thing. But on the trial, he was confused by the violent way of
the interrogators abused him. He told the judge that he did it all. He was
sentenced to death penalty. The prisoners took their last resort in helping him
escape the prison through a hot air balloon but I didn’t work. He was sentenced
to death penalty. After the years go by, his daughter, Ye-Seung wanted to clear
his name by doing the trial again, and he was proclaimed innocent. So why is
the movie entitled miracle in cell no7 so I think because of everything that happened in cell number 7 all the
relationships and friendships that had been built and everyone in the cell
number 7had been changed by Yong-Goo. So what are the miracles that had
happened in the movie I think the miracles that happened in the movie is for
them building the relationship even though they had committed bad crimes and even though Yong-Goo knows that the
people around him he still treated them good. How did these miracles changed the lives of the characters in the
story? All of the prisoners in the story are able to change themselves for the better.
I think the values that I have learned in the movie are honesty, righteousness and kindness. As
shown in the movie the human nature is good because Yong-Goo did his best to do
the right thing always even though there are people that couldn’t understand
him and judged him as being the bad
person. In my opinion the human person is good because as St john paul II said
humans are able act together with other
persons and we human persons have deliberate decisions and actions, makes freely actions towards the common good. So
this means that even though we have our own decisions we still make our
decisions for the common good. Thomas
hobbs said that man for a man is a wolf, a man is an enemy to any man and he is
clearly stating that man is corrupt and cannot do good. The insights that I have
gained in watching the movie is that the human nature is naturally good its
just there are factors that we cannot understand each other.
